With million dollar views, a commitment to locally sourced fresh ingredients, and a passion for exceptional customer service, a visit to the newly renovated Sunset Bay Café gives both locals and visitors an opportunity to enjoy chef inspired creative twists on classic dishes.
Bryce Jarvis, co-owner of Sunset Bay Café, is a longtime local who knows what customers expect from a resort restaurant. “I’m passionate about providing a great experience for all of our patrons, and Sunset Bay Café gives me the opportunity to share what I love best about our area food scene, the communities of Destin, Sandestin, The Beaches of South Walton, and the Emerald Coast, with all who visit the restaurant.”
Sunset Bay Café has been a number of different eatery’s over the years, but Bryce, and his co-owner Gary Jarvis, felt the location needed their “all-hands-on-deck” approach to really make an impact while serving the ingredient driven dishes to savor overlooking the magnificent views of the Choctawhatchee bay.
As the owner of the legendary charter boat, The Backdown 2, Captain Gary Jarvis lends an expert’s eye to the sustainable food movement while bringing the highest quality sourced seafood to the kitchen at Sunset Bay Café, saying, “Our menu focuses on peak products available each season.”
In addition to classic favorites like pancakes, waffles, and po-boy’s, diners will also be able to taste some innovative dishes like Southern Fries topped with white pepper gravy, pecanwood smoked bacon, fried cheese curds and chives, or the fresh catch of the day that lays on a bed of artichoke hearts, wilted spinach, and gouda cheese grits in a meuniere sauce.
Located near the Linkside Conference Center, Sunset Bay Café offers a full bar, outside dining, a Tiki bar, and “grab and go” options that are perfect for those golfing, playing tennis, sitting by the pool, or headed the beach.
Holy Cakes, an award-winning bakery owned by Bryce’s wife Miranda, provides an assortment of muffins and cupcakes daily, as well as orders by request for business meetings, weddings, or other specialty functions.
The family owned Sunset Bay Café celebrates the spirit of “Old Florida” while encouraging patrons to sit back, relax and taste innovative cooking with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients.
