Executive Chef Chris Sherrill (a graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, SC) is at the helm of Flora-Bama Yacht Club, and is passionate about farm and Gulf to table sustainable cuisine. Sherill’s "hook n' cook" approach to creating unique culinary delights, is what brings attention from locals and tourists wanting a taste of his eclectic fare. Those in search of Alabama seafood can find the finest at Flora-Bama Yacht Club, from the restaurants world famous fish tacos, simple peel and eat wild-caught boiled shrimp, to ordering a dozen of the spicy cornmeal dusted Bayou La Batre oysters served with edamame maque choux, there is certainly much to be savored.

The popular Bama Burger is generously sized and is offered in a build-your-own style with choices of Swiss, cheddar cheese, bleu cheese, grilled onions, mushrooms, bacon and jalapeño, but Sherrill throws in a daily twist like the option of yellowfin tuna, roasted duck or an over easy fried egg to top it off as well. A refreshing menu selection that has patrons coming back for more is the scrumptious Cobb Salad with Hydro-Bibb lettuce. It is garnished with eggs, bleu cheese, red onion, avocado, tomato, candied pecans and roasted corn, but customers can add succulent Gulf shrimp, grilled chicken, fresh local lobster, seared tuna, or prime grilled steak to pack on the protein.
