Cowgirl Kitchen coined the term “kick-back cuisine” and with it created their own brand of casual dining. The flagship restaurant in Rosemary Beach has become a go-to neighborhood spot for fresh, creative food coupled with friendly, well-informed service. The travels and palate of Nikki Nickerson, the owner, influences many of the restaurant’s dishes, which include favorites such as Drunken Shrimp Tacos and house made, thin crust gourmet pizzas like the Bacon Cheddar Meat Pie.

With dining available inside and outside on the patio at Cowgirl Kitchen, Nickerson wanted a place that would capture the spirit of the weekend chef and serve soul-satisfying comfort cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. Each product is personally vetted, as Nickerson only carries foods that she loves and wants to share with friends and family. “I love to cook and entertain friends, and we take turns having dinner parties at each other’s houses, trying new foods and wine. I know many others do the same,” Nickerson says. Cowgirl Kitchen is a truly laid back local bar and restaurant, somewhere to spend a few hours with friends and have some great tasting food. The restaurant also offers beer on tap, an extensive and affordable wine list, and specialty drinks like Bloody Marys, top-shelf margaritas and daiquiris.

Nickerson is well known in the area as an award-winning real estate agent with Keller Williams Realty and also as the owner of two other establishments, Cowgirl Kitchen Market & Café in Seagrove Beach and CK Feed and Supply.

Cowgirl Kitchen Market and Café on 30A in Seagrove Beach serves up breakfast until 2 pm each day, along with unique lunch fare and Farmtable Specials until 7 pm daily. Southwest inspired breakfast tacos, the infamous praline bacon, pulled pork, specialty sandwiches, salads and soups, short rib poboys, stuffed pork loin and barbecue peel & eat shrimp are just a sampling of the offerings.

Since Cowgirl Kitchen Market opened in Seagrove in 2011, locals and tourists alike have relied on the take out casseroles for convenience and crowd-pleasing results. Some of the most popular include breakfast sausage balls, the house made Artichoke Green Chili Dip, Smoked Tuna Dip, Chicken Salad, Texas Caviar, and the wonderful assortment of casseroles and soft specialty cheeses. Nickerson says, “Our Cowboy Bacon is a very special hormone free bacon from Penderson Farms in New York. Southern Craft Creamery is located in Bonifay and supplies the amazing ice cream that is available in the cooler. Gluten free pizzas, bagels, and breads from Udi are on hand, as our customers asked and we provided!”

Nickerson adds, “At the Market, we have the half & half, cinnamon rolls, prepared meals, and everything else a visitor will need for the week or weekend, and we are here for our locals as well!” A variety of craft beer and wines are also available at Cowgirl Kitchen Seagrove, so those vacationing who want to drop their bags and head straight to sunset with champagne in hand don’t have to worry!

Located across the cobblestone street from Cowgirl Kitchen in Rosemary Beach, CK Feed & Supply rounds out the Cowgirl set with everything the discriminating foodie or weekend chef needs to entertain with flair and ease. Known for providing “gourmet on the go,” the retail shop offers the full array of Cowgirl packaged goods, such as fresh dips and creative casseroles, also found at the CK Seagrove Market, but also carries fine wines, craft beers, unique gifts, and eclectic items for the home or beach home.

With so much down home goodness from the Cowgirls along 30A, you’re always invited to Kick Back and Cowgirl Up!
