A sought after dining spot for locals and tourists alike, Camille’s at Crystal Beach offers the freshest seafood that can be found on the Gulf Coast. A sister restaurant to Harbor Docks, Camille’s at Crystal Beach in Destin serves Gulf seafood that is caught in local waters by local fisherman and unloaded right on the dock at Harbor Docks Seafood Market, ensuring a Gulf to Table experience. Founded by Charles Morgan, Camille’s at Crystal Beach has a casual family friendly dining atmosphere and was named after Morgan’s grandmother and mother, two women who made a great impact on him. They are referred to as Big Camille and Little Camille, respectively.

Executive Chef Blake Van Zandt has won awards for his gumbo presentation that is packed with flavor and full of Destin’s finest seafood, saying, “It is more like a bouillabaisse since I don’t make a roux, and I make it fresh to order!” Much of the produce for Camille’s at Crystal Beach comes from sister restaurant Red Bay Grocery and their farming co-op. Van Zandt likes to keep his menu fresh by constantly evolving and creating cuisine with a Southern yet contemporary flair.

Other menu favorites at Camille’s at Crystal Beach include delectable thin crust pizza like the Red Bay topped with a house made sauce, sausage, mushrooms, roasted garlic and mozzarella, Seared Jumbo Scallops and Gulf Shrimp topped with chipotle pineapple glaze over sticky rice with sautéed peppers, Sautéed Grouper served in an artichoke and prosciutto pan sauce served over linguini, and The Catch of the Day served blackened, grilled or fried. Popular appetizers include Seafood Fritters with lemon caper remoulade and fried green tomatoes topped with Creole chipotle aioli or with lump crabmeat. The sushi is the talk of the town, as Camille’s at Crystal Beach’s Executive Sushi Chef Yoshie Eddings is well known internationally as having catered to an A-list celebrity clientele. Eddings trains all of the sushi staff at Camille’s and at the sister restaurant locations, maintaining the highest quality and standards possible to ensure that each bite will be the freshest and most delectable possible. One of the most popular rolls is the Backdown Roll that includes cream cheese, tempura batter, shrimp, cucumber, spicy sauce topped with tuna, avocado, and a krab salad.

Camille’s Beach Bar & Coffee Shop is located on the ground level and offers breakfast, lunch and happy hour specials daily. To get your morning started try cup of hot brewed Amavida coffee, fresh squeezed juice and menu features such as muffins, scones, Danishes, and cakes. At lunch the turkey and avocado sandwich with Chipotle mayo is a favorite, as are the Catch Of The Day Fish Tacos, and delicious smoothies made fresh on the spot! Kick off happy hour from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with drink specials like $4 Crown, $2.50 beers, and $3.00 glasses of wine. Customers also can enjoy the daiquiri menu that features flavors like strawberry, mango, piña colada, and raspberry.
