Description

Local Catch Bar & Grill in Blue Mountain Beach on 30A has quickly become a local’s favorite top spot for its Southern coastal cuisine, great live music and Sunday Fundays. With a happy hour that begins each day at 3 p.m. along with food and drink specials, it is no wonder!

Executive Chef and Co-Owner Adam Yellin hails from New Orleans and quickly worked up the ranks in the culinary world after graduating in business from the University of Alabama, where he met Jimmy Hasser, the gregarious General Manager of Local Catch on 30A. After working together in several South Walton restaurants, the pair decided to embark on their own adventure by opening Local Catch Bar & Grill in Blue Mountain Beach on 30A. There is always a nice crowd around the bar eating and watching sports on one of several televisions situated throughout the restaurant space, and dining is offered inside the restaurant as well as outside on the patio. The menu is developed on what Chef Adam likes to eat, and he wants to keep the food fresh and simple, highlighting the natural flavors in his food, and does not over season.

The goal at Local Catch on 30A is to serve classic combinations on a common level, using the best ingredients, served in a relaxed casual atmosphere.

One of the most popular menu items at Local Catch on 30A is the in-house slow roasted pulled pork nachos piled high on the plate and topped with fresh tomatoes, house-made pickled jalapeños, cheese and other delights. They are served on a bed of crispy flour tortilla chips, a favorite of Chef Adam who says he prefers flour to corn, as it does not over power the food. Other popular items include the fresh Gulf shrimp or locally caught fish taco’s where the seafood can be ordered grilled or fried, and the house special grilled hamburger topped bacon, lettuce and tomato served on a pretzel He also hand crafts his most incredible sauces on site, like the house white sauce which many patrons are already asking him to bottle.
